Nations progress with fight against COVID
In the virtual summit of Quad nations, leaders decided to deliver one billion doses of coronavirus vaccine to Asia by end of 2022. Indian manufacturing, US technology, US and Japanese financing and Australian logistics are expected to contribute to the joint mission.
Biden directs states to make all adults eligible for vaccine by May 1
In his address on the first anniversary of the pandemic lockdown, Biden also said an additional 4,000 U.S. troops will help in the vaccination effort. States have been advised to plan for between 22 million and 24 million doses a week by early April.
CDC releases guidelines for vaccinated Americans
CDC's guidance allows congregation of fully vaccinated individuals in small groups indoors without the need for masks or social distancing. Fully vaccinated people do not need to quarantine if they have been exposed, unless they show symptoms.
