The Facts
On Wednesday, the Biden administration sued Arizona Governor Doug Ducey (R) over his construction of a barrier along parts of the US-Mexico border.
Ducey has attempted to fill in gaps in the Trump administration’s border wall amid a prolonged surge in border crossings.
Double-stacked shipping containers have been used to fill in gaps in the border wall.
However, Federal authorities have stated that the construction is unlawful since it is erected on US land.
The lawsuit asks the court to order Arizona to stop building the barrier and remove containers citing operational and environmental concerns.
