President Joe Biden received his annual updated COVID-19 shot on Tuesday.
Biden took the opportunity to use the occasion to urge more US citizens to get the COVID-19 booster shot ahead of the upcoming holiday season.
Biden stated, “We have the tools. We have the vaccines. We have the treatments. None of this is about politics. It’s about your health and the health of your loved ones.”
Biden added that health experts recommend fully vaccinated individuals over five years of age get the updated COVID-19 vaccine once a year.
Noting that the US is currently witnessing a rise in flu cases and other respiratory illnesses, Biden also urged people to get their flu shots.
