Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and his supporters will hold a non-violent protest march Friday, from Lahore to Islamabad.
The driving distance between Lahore and Islamabad is approximately 380 km (236 miles).
Imran Khan stated, “I feel the long march will be the biggest protest of our country.”
Khan has been demanding elections be held immediately, with the government resisting this idea.
Khan’s party Tehreek-e-Insaf stated, “Starting from Lahore, Liberty, Ferozpur Road, Ichhra, Mazang, Data Darbar, Azadi Chowk. The journey to Islamabad will start on the GT road from the next day.” (translated)
