The Facts
The CDC dropped three countries from its “Level 3: High Level Of COVID-19” to the “Level 2: Moderate Level of COVID-19” category on Monday.
Fiji, Kuwait, and Saint Kitts & Nevis were moved to Level 2 of the CDC’s COVID-19 travel risk recommendation.
The CDC also added Sint Maarten to the moderate risk category. The CDC had previously said it did not have enough data to make a COVID-19 risk assessment for Sint Maarten.
The CDC designates travel destinations as being in the Level 2 category if they have reported 50-100 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days.
The CDC recommends that citizens keep up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines if traveling to these destinations.
