27 people died and 20 were injured in a highway bus crash on Sunday in China’s Guizhou province.
The bus was a government health vehicle transporting people for Covid-related reasons.
The bus, carrying 47 people, was traveling from Guiyang to Libo when it flipped onto its side.
Some people have taken the opportunity to use social media to criticize China’s strict zero-Covid policy, which has seen large groups of people transported to far-off quarantine facilities.
Guiyang, a city with a population of around 6 million, went into strict lockdown at the start of the month. Since then, roughly 7,400 residents have been transferred out of the city for Covid containment reasons.
