The Facts
Dozens of South Korean adoptees have demanded an investigation into the circumstances surrounding their adoption by Danish parents.
The adoptees have alleged that they were sent to their parents by corrupt practices that falsified their origins in the 1970s and 1980s.
The Danish Korean Rights Group has filed an application with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission for the investigation.
The Seoul-based Truth and Reconciliation Commission has up to four months to decide whether to accept the application.
Fifty-three adoptees filed the collective application in Denmark on Tuesday.
