The Facts

On Thursday, Novac Djokovic announced he would not be traveling to New York for the US Open tournament.
The Serbian former world number one has refused to vaccinate against Covid 19 and cannot travel to the US owing to restrictions.

Djokovic was rendered incapable of defending his Australian Open title earlier this year after being deported due to his unvaccinated status.
