Fraser-Pryce beat Shericka Jackson and Elaine Thompson-Herah in a Jamaican clean sweep to claim her fifth world 100m title.
She said, “I can’t even imagine the amount of times I’ve had setbacks, and I’ve bounced back, and I’m here again.”
Meanwhile, double Olympic champion Ryan Crouser from Oregon led a US clean sweep in men’s shot put with his 22.94m throw, setting a championship record.
Brook Anderson won a third straight gold for US women in the hammer throw following Chase Ealey’s shot put victory.
