NASA to launch 2 more choppers to Mars

NASA plans to launch 2 mini helicopters to Mars. Choppers to aid in retrieving rock and soil samples.

Where: Mars

The Facts

NASA is launching two more mini helicopters to Mars in its effort to return Martian rocks and soil samples to Earth.
The helicopters are similar to Ingenuity, the “Marscopter” that accompanied NASA’s Perseverance rover to Mars.
The new helicopters will have the added ability to be able to grab and transport small tubes filled with bits of Martian rock.
On Wednesday, NASA announced a plan for its Perseverance rover to do double duty and transport the cache to the rocket that will launch them off the red planet a decade from now.
Perseverance already has gathered 11 samples with more rock drilling planned.
