Lufthansa cancelled almost all its flights in Germany on Wednesday due to a strike by its ground staff.
On Tuesday, Lufthansa confirmed the assumptions that the strike would have “a massive operational impact in the middle of the peak travel season.”
Lufthansa effectively cancelled almost its entire flight schedule at its Frankfurt and Munich hubs for Wednesday.
The airline warned that individual flight cancellations and delays are also expected throughout Thursday and Friday.
An estimated 134,000 passengers are expected to be affected by the cancellations.
