‘Law & Order’ crew member fatally shot near set in Brooklyn

‘Law & Order’ crew member fatally shot in NY. Police on the lookout for the shooting suspect.

The Facts

Early on Tuesday, a crew member for the TV show “Law & Order: Organized Crime” was fatally shot while working near the set in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood.
Officials have identified the victim as 31-year-old Johnny Pizarro, from Queens. Pizarro had been hired by the show to clear parking spaces and guard equipment trucks in the neighborhood.
Pizarro had been sitting in his vehicle at about 5:15 AM local time when an unidentified individual opened the car door and shot him in the neck and head.
Pizarro was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at about 6 AM. It is currently unknown whether the victim and shooter had a prior connection.
No arrests relating to the incident have been made yet. Authorities have confirmed that they are looking for a male suspect with a thin build who was last seen fleeing the area wearing a black hoodie and pants.
