The US Supreme Court rejected the Roe v Wade decision, a precedent that guaranteed a woman the right to have an abortion.
The Supreme Court’s decision on Friday was met with celebration as well as rage by a country divided in opinion.
National Right to Life tweeted, “By a vote of 6-3, the United States Supreme Court has corrected the most egregious and deadly Judicial ruling.”
President Joe Biden stated, “It’s a sad day for the country. Nearly 50 years ago, Roe vs. Wade was decided. Today, the Supreme Court of the United States expressly took away a constitutional right from the American people.”
Protests are being planned in cities across the US in response to the court ruling.
