On Tuesday, Serena Williams officially entered the Wimbledon Championships through a wild card invitation.
Williams hasn’t competed anywhere since her injury during the first set at the All England Club last year.
Williams’ name did not appear on the singles entry list earlier this month.
The 40-year-old is one of six women invited to the tournament via wild card this year.
Katie Boulter, Jodie Burrage, Sonay Kartal, Yuriko Miyazaki, and Katie Swan will also enter the tournament via a wild card.
