The association picked 11 cities in the US, 2 in Canada, and 3 in Mexico to host the World Cup games.
Selected cities stand to reap financial benefits from hosting an international soccer tournament.
The 2026 World Cup is the first to have three co-hosts and 80 matches, more than the standard 64 matches.
Qatar, meanwhile, will host the 2022 World Cup this winter.
