Missing Alabama jail inmate and corrections officer captured, guard dies

The Facts

Following a massive manhunt, US law enforcement officers have captured an escaped inmate and a guard, alleged to be his accomplice, who had been on the loose in Alabama.
The inmate, Casey White, 38, and his guard Vicky White, 56 disappeared in Lauderdale County, AL on 29 April.
Ms. White had claimed she was taking the inmate to an evaluation, a story which turned out to be entirely false.
The US Marshals Service stated, “The Alabama fugitives who have been on the run since April 29 were apprehended Monday in Evansville, Indiana, following a brief vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash.”
Vicky White succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. She is alleged to have shot herself after the crash.
