On Monday, French President Emmanuel Macron appointed Elisabeth Borne as the new Prime Minister.
Borne is the former Labor Minister of France.
At 61, Borne will be France’s first female PM in 30 years.
In her inaugural speech, Borne dedicated her success “to all little girls,” and added that she would strive to help France act “faster and stronger” on climate change.
Borne replaces former PM Jean Castex who resigned on Monday following Macron’s re-election.
