The Facts
On May 8th, the Virgin Media BAFTA TV Awards’ winners were announced, “celebrating and rewarding” the best shows and performances of 2021.
The Awards were held at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s Southbank and hosted by British actor Richard Ayoade. The Awards also included a red carpet performance by English singer-songwriter George Ezra.
Jodie Comer and her co-star Cathy Tyson won ‘Leading Actress’ and ‘Supporting Actress,’ respectively, for their roles in ‘Help,’ a British drama set in a Liverpool care home during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Sean Bean won in the ‘Leading Actor’ category for his performance in ‘Time,’ while Matthew Macfadyen won ‘Supporting Actor’ for ‘Succession.’
‘Big Zuu’s Big Eats’ won two BAFTAs, while ‘In My Skin,’ ‘Time,’ and ‘Together’ won awards in the Drama Series, Mini-Series, and Single Drama categories, respectively.
