Hundreds of Ukrainian refugees have been lining up at Mexican border crossings with the US in the hopes of being let in.
The development comes following President Joe Biden’s announcement that 100,000 Ukrainian refugees would be allowed into the country.
Numerous refugees have entered Mexico on tourist visas and have begun heading north toward the US border.
Meanwhile, two Harvard freshmen have built a website designed to connect people fleeing Ukraine to those willing to shelter them in safer countries.
Developers Marco Burstein, 18, and Avi Schiffman, 19, recently logged 800,000 users on their website, ‘ukrainetakeshelter.com.’
