Hertz to buy 65,000 electric vehicles from Polestar

On Monday, Hertz announced that it had signed a deal to purchase up to 65,000 electric vehicles from Swedish carmaker, Polestar over the next five years.
In a joint press release, the car rental giant stated it will initially be ordering the Polestar 2 model.
The cars will be available this spring in Europe and by the end of the year in North America and Australia.
Hertz CEO, Stephen Scherr, stated, “We are excited to partner with Polestar and look forward to introducing their premium EV products into our retail and rideshare fleets.”
In October, Hertz announced an order to purchase 100,000 electric cars from Tesla Inc (TSLA.O), primarily the Tesla Model 3.
