White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who had accompanied President Joe Biden to Europe, has tested positive for Covid-19.
Karine Jean-Pierre stated, “I last saw the President during a socially distanced meeting yesterday, and the President is not considered a close contact as defined by CDC guidance.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had also tested Covid-positive last week.
Jean-Pierre has been fully vaccinated and boosted – She has only experienced mild symptoms thus far.
Jean-Pierre plans to work from home and return in person following a five-day isolation period and subsequent negative test.
