The Facts
Sweden is set to lift most of its Covid restrictions on February 9th as the pandemic enters a new phase with the Omicron variant.
Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson told reporters, “The pandemic is not over, but we are entering a whole new phase.”
Denmark led the way on Tuesday by lifting Covid restrictions almost entirely.
Current rules in Denmark state, “From February 1st, 2022, there are no longer COVID-19 restrictions in Denmark. There will continue to be recommendations for the use of face masks and corona passport, for an example, at hospitals, and in elderly care.”
The Czech Republic will no longer insist on Covid passes to enter restaurants and other public venues.
