Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for Covid-19 and has mild cold-like symptoms.

The Queen had met earlier in February with Prince Charles, who later tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time.

The news of the Queen testing Covid positive comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson is on the verge of relaxing Covid restrictions in the country.

Johnson tweeted, “I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a swift recovery from Covid and a rapid return to vibrant good health.”

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, tweeted, “The commitment Her Majesty the Queen has shown to our country continues to be unwavering. Wishing her a swift and safe recovery from Covid-19.”
