Podcaster Joe Rogan has responded to the recent backlash against him and Spotify after they were accused of spreading COVID-19 misinformation.
Rogan stated, “I’m not trying to promote misinformation, I’m not trying to be controversial. I’ve never tried to do anything with this podcast other than to just talk to people.”
Rogan noted that he was interested in talking to people with differing opinions, and he wanted to air “all kinds of opinions” on any given topic.
Rogan said he would be attempting to create a balance in future by interviewing more experts with differing opinions following the “controversial ones.”
Rogan also declared his appreciation for Spotify’s recent decision to add content advisory notices to podcasts that discuss COVID-19.
