The Facts
American and Canadian truckers are protesting Canada’s decision to allow only fully vaccinated drivers to enter its borders from Jan 15 onwards.
The truckers are also protesting similar guidelines from the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
A group of 10,000 Canadian truckers is leading a “freedom convoy”, which will be joined by several American truckers.
The vice president of Canada Unity and president of Truckers United Inc. said, “The western convoy is on its way, and the east [convoy] is going to start tomorrow morning.”
The American truckers plan to rendezvous with their Canadian counterparts at 4 points along the border with Canada.
