US DAF releases COVID-19 vaccination statistics. 95.9% active duty personnel fully vaccinated.

The Facts
On November 3rd, a day after the Department-imposed vaccination deadline, the US Department of the Air Force (DAF) announced that nearly 97% of their active-duty component Airmen and Guardians had received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose.
According to DAF statistics, as of November 3rd, 95.9% of active-duty personnel were fully immunized, and 1% were partially vaccinated against the COVID-19.
Out of approximately 326,000 Active Component US Air Force and US Space Force personnel, 8,486 officials were unvaccinated, 2,753 had not started vaccination, and 800 had refused COVID-19 vaccination.
The DAF will review applications for vaccine exemptions based on medical and religious grounds over the next 30 days. To date, the DAF has approved 1,634 religious and 232 administrative exemption requests for active-duty personnel.
A DAF press release stated, “COVID-19 screening testing will be required at least weekly for all individuals entering a DoD facility who are not fully vaccinated, including those who have an exemption request under review, or who are exempted from COVID-I9 vaccination.”
