Tensions persist at the Poland-Belarus border as the migrant crisis continues.
On November 14th, the Polish Police reported aggressive behavior at the border, with Polish authorities being pelted with stones from the Belarus side, injuring a police officer.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated he had spoken to his Latvian and Lithuanian counterparts regarding the situation and that the 3 nations were coordinating to safeguard the European Union borders.
The North Atlantic Council (NATO) also issued a statement condemning the politically-motivated hybrid actions by Belarus against Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg tweeted, “We remain vigilant, continue to monitor the situation & call on Belarus to respect human rights, fundamental freedoms, and abide by international law.”
