Where: United States

The Facts

On September 16th, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said the White House had offered a call between a doctor and singer-rapper Nicki Minaj over her queries and concerns regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.

Psaki stated, “We offered a call with Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer questions she had about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine… It was simply an offer to have a conversation and an early-stage call.”

Psaki added that the White House had offered an early stage call with Minaj at the staff-to-staff level.

Minaj has recently drawn criticism for spreading false information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine; Minaj had tweeted about her cousin’s friend, who allegedly became impotent after getting vaccinated.

Minaj tweeted, “The White House has invited me & I think it’s a step in the right direction. Yes, I’m going. I’ll be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde so they know I mean business. I’ll ask questions on behalf of the ppl who have been made fun of for simply being human.”
