NFL stars report contracting COVID. Tom Brady reveals he had COVID in Feb.

Where: United States

The Facts

Dallas Cowboy Zack Martin tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, Head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed.

The Cowboys open their season Thursday night against Tampa Bay Buccaneers without their six-time Pro Bowl right guard Martin.

Martin must be symptom-free for 48 hours and test negative twice, 24 hours apart, to play again.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady said he had contracted COVID-19 shortly after the team’s Super Bowl 55 parade in February.

Brady, who has since been vaccinated, said the Delta variant and the continued spread of COVID-19 would make the coming season “challenging.”
