Jan 6th commission issues new subpoenas

Jan 6th Committee subpoenas organizers. Olympic swimmer pleads guilty to felony.

The Facts

The select Jan 6th committee investigating the Capitol riots has issued additional subpoenas to 11 rally organizers and Trump allies.

Those issued subpoenas are required to present their depositions between October to early November.

On Wednesday, US Olympic swimmer and medalist Klete Keller pleaded guilty to storming the Capitol during the Jan 6th riots. Keller faces a felony charge and 21-27 months in prison.

Keller had competed in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics where he won two golds, a silver, and a pair of bronze medals.

On Tuesday, Pennsylvania gym owner Dawn Bancroft pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for unlawful protest in a restricted area.
