Tropical Storm Henri is forecast to hit New England, and hurricane conditions are possible.

National Hurricane Center stated, “Dangerous storms surge inundation is expected to begin late Saturday night or Sunday in portions of Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and southeastern Massachusetts, where a Storm Surge Warning has been issued.”

The National Weather Service says the Tropical Storm Henri will make landfall as a Cat 1 hurricane over Long Island early Sunday afternoon – It will continue into Connecticut, weakening by Sunday evening.

Eversource, a Connecticut utility, has warned its customers of extensive damage and power outages that could take a significant time to restore.
