Concert venues and artists react to the Covid wave

Artists, concert-goers

Covid-19 spike causes music show cancellations. Live Nation mandates vaccination.

Where: Music shows

The Facts

Several musical acts are canceling or rescheduling concert dates as the delta variant caused a spike in Covid-19 cases across the country.

Steve Nicks stated, “While I’m vaccinated, at my age, I am still being extremely cautious and for that reason have decided to skip the 5 performances I had planned for 2021.”

Lynyrd Skynyrd stated on Facebook, “Longtime band member Rickey Medlocke has tested positive for COVID-19.”

Live Nation Entertainment will require artists and fans at its venues to be fully vaccinated against Covid or show proof of a negative Covid test.

After October 4th, even their staff will have to get vaccinated to visit any of their events, venues, or offices.
