CDC issues travel guidance for vaccinated Americans

CDC issues new travel guidance. Cruise ships one step closer to sailing.

The Facts

▪ The CDC announced that people who are fully vaccinated can travel freely within the US but must follow recommendations for safe travel.

▪ The CDC said that fully vaccinated people do not require Covid-19 tests before or after domestic travel, nor do they need to self-quarantine.

▪ CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said, “We are not recommending travel at this time”, pointing to the surge in Covid cases.

▪ On Friday, the CDC released a new phase of the Framework for Conditional Sailing Order for cruise ships to operate in US waters, including recommendations for instituting new Covid-19 operational procedures.
