Where: Washington, D.C.

The Facts

Vice President, Kamala Harris casts tie-breaking vote to launch debate over $1.9 trillion COVID-19 bill
Harris’ vote came after Senate Democrats made some changes to the House-passed version, including new limits for the eligibility of $1,400 cash payments. But, the process was delayed after Senator Ron Johnson, asked the entire 628-page bill to be read on the Senate floor.
If the bill is passed, Washington, California, Texas and New York would receive 29% of the $350 billion in direct aid that President Joe Biden has proposed for states and cities in his COVID-19 relief bill.
