Biden directs states to make all adults eligible for vaccine by May 1

▪ In his address on the first anniversary of the pandemic lockdown, Biden also said an additional 4,000 U.S. troops will help in the vaccination effort.

▪ States have been advised to plan for between 22 million and 24 million doses a week by early April.

▪ He also urged Americans to remain vigilant against the virus.

▪ Public health experts say the biggest obstacle to this drive will be the people who are still on the fence about getting a shot.

▪ So far, about 10% of Americans have been fully vaccinated.
